The Photomeasure™ board is a 91.4 cm (36") long, floating tool capable of withstanding temperatures as low as -45°C (-49°F).

It does not require a bump for precise measurement. Its wide handle makes it easy to carry around—even with gloves on during cold weather.

The material is tough, resistant to scratches and fish odours, which makes cleanup easy. For longevity, it must be stored properly. It should be stored flat, out of direct sunlight and extreme heat.

Board Placement
Ensure that the board is placed horizontally in the landscape photo.
Step 2
Positioning Catch
Position your fish facing left or right, at any angle on the board, ensuring that there are at least 4 unobstructed QR codes around both the head and tail. It’s OK to hold the fish steady in the mid-section with your hand while you take the photo.
Hold your cellphone camera in landscape at knee or waist level. Avoid shots taken above your waist; instead maximize your fish in the photo with unobstructed QRs on each end.
Capture & Upload
Take a photo of your catch and upload it. Your records will be updated on your Personal Leaderboard usually in less than 15 seconds.

PhotoMeasure™ uses AI methods to detect and measure the length of your fish. It transforms how you capture and record your catches. It is easier and faster than ever before.
Species are identified from our growing database of hundreds of thousands of fish photos.

If you submit a photo of a species that is not in the database, simply provide the photo, with manual entry of species name and its length. This will grow the database and assist in the automatic identification of this species in the future.

PhotoMeasure™ has been subject to extensive testing and is highly precise. We post length measurement and species identification statistics on the ALB website. Keep your own records, too!
